News

Pay attention: fraudulent emails

Currently, fraudulent e-mails circulate to pay traffic fines.

The tone of the emails is usually urgent and alarming. Example: "You still have an outstanding amount to pay for breaking traffic rules. You have already received a reminder."

Do not react to such e-mails and do not pay the amount claimed.

If you committed a traffic offence, the police sends you a letter via postal mail. On the letter, you will find some information allowing you to pay your fine on www.trafficfines.be.

The police never sends a payment request by e-mail.

Report ?

If you receive such e-mails, you can report them to Safeonweb.be, via suspicious@safeonweb.be.
